MANILA, Philippines — Three distinct weather systems are expected to bring rainfall to various parts of the country on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“For tomorrow’s weather, the shear line will continue to cause rain in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, most of Mimaropa except parts of Palawan, and the Bicol Region,” said Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” is likely to bring cloudy skies and rain to Northern Luzon, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos Region, Torres added.
Additionally, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is forecasted to bring rain to the southern and eastern areas of Mindanao. In contrast, the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao may enjoy relatively fair weather, although localized thunderstorms remain a possibility.
